Smt. Sunita Rao, the founder of the Institute, was born at Rani Ki Dayodi, Rewari in prominent family of Raja Rao Vijay Pal Singh. She was very brilliant, brave and helping from her childhood. She was good in sports like volleyball, badminton and chess. She got married to Mr. Anil Rao, grandson of Mata Raj Kaur. She provided a lot of opportunities of employment to the peoples through various small scale industries. Her life was full of struggles. She understood the value and need of technical education and opened an engineering Institute for the benefit and upliftment of people in rural area. She died on 18 November 2010 by giving a gift of this Engineering Institute to the society
To revive the name of Late. Mata Raj Kaur, Late Smt. Rao established the RKIET. This institution reflects her foresightedness towards the need of young technocrats in the rural region itself. She believes that every local child should have the benefit of a high quality education while remaining in the local environment that allows them to maintain their cultural values and family affiliations and thereby help in the overall upliftment of society and nation.
This vision and insight infect guides us throughout to maintain the level of potentially enriched education in our Institute and we abide to follow her throughout.
