Smt. Sunita Rao, the founder of the MRK Institute of Engineering and Technology, was born in Rewari in the family of Raja Rao Vijay Pal Singh. Apart from being good at sports like volleyball, badminton and chess, she was brilliant, brave and empathetic since childhood.

The Mata Raj Kaur Institute of Engineering and Technology has been established by MRK Education Society in year 2009 with the sole motive of imparting both practical and theoretical knowledge of technical education. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Government of India, Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Haryana and affiliated to Indira Gandhi University Meerpur, Rewari, Haryana.
